Service Description

30 minute class 10:30AM-11 AM + 30 minute play 11-11:30AM May 14, 21 + June 4, 11, 18, 25. Total of 6 sessions. (No class May 28) Calling all tiny dancers! In this fun filled creative movement class kids will explore elements of ballet & jazz. Fostering imagination while developing gross motor skills and learning to follow step by step directions. Class will include some stretching, warm ups, across the floor, imaginative dance and learning simple choreography. Props such as wands, scarves and dancing bears may be used. Upon completion of the 6 weeks, we will perform a very simple mini dance for parents! $60 for 6 weeks. or $12 drop in. What to wear: Comfortable clothing, leotards and tutus are welcome! Go barefoot, wear socks with grips, or ballet or jazz shoes. It's recommended to have long hair up and out of the face. No jewelry please. Check out some of the fun skills we'll work on! Gross Motor: Skipping, hoping, marching, jumping, chasse, burre, leap Ballet: pointe, flex, arm positions, first position, plie, tendu, releve. Directional: right, left, up, down, foreword, backward Step by Step directions: Learn short dance choreography Creative: freeze dance, interpretive/imaginary dances Rhythm: clapping exercises, music p.s. Please note there is no open play currently on Wednesdays. (If this changes we will update you).
